Do you eat bowels? That&#8217;s probably the question we get the most when traveling outside China. The answer is, yes there are regions and certain dishes that include this kind of food, BUT it&#8217;s a tiny tiny minority of dishes and regions that really do eat those. BTW, those kind of foods are not only eaten in China but also Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, among others. But I have never heard someone asking a Vietnamese if they eat dogs and cats. </p><p>This said, China is probably the world&#8217;s most diverse country when it comes to food. Saying &#8220;Chinese Food&#8221; is like saying &#8220;European Food&#8221;. Turkish, Italian, French, and German food, I think most people would agree is not the same. The same concept applies to China. China is such a large country, that every province has it&#8217;s own cuisine. The one that&#8217;s most known abroad is mostly Guangdong cuisine, maybe a little bit of Sichuan cuisine, and after all the so called &#8220;Mama Cuisisne&#8221; (家常菜). Those are the most typical dishes that we cook at home such as, Chinese fried egg, soy steamed eggplant, chicken with vegetables, tofu soup etc. <br />However, those dishes are only a very small number of dishes that we actually eat. </p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t</div>\n\t\t\t\t</div>\n\t\t<div data-id=\"32e948d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<div data-id=\"28af5d4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;image_spacing_custom&quot;:{&quot;unit&quot;:&quot;px&quot;,&quot;size&quot;:10,&quot;sizes&quot;:[]},&quot;navigation&quot;:&quot;both&quot;,&quot;autoplay&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;,&quot;pause_on_hover&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;,&quot;pause_on_interaction&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;,&quot;autoplay_speed&quot;:5000,&quot;infinite&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;,&quot;speed&quot;:500,&quot;image_spacing_custom_laptop&quot;:{&quot;unit&quot;:&quot;px&quot;,&quot;size&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;sizes&quot;:[]},&quot;image_spacing_custom_tablet&quot;:{&quot;unit&quot;:&quot;px&quot;,&quot;size&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;sizes&quot;:[]},&quot;image_spacing_custom_mobile&quot;:{&quot;unit&quot;:&quot;px&quot;,&quot;size&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;sizes&quot;:[]}}\" data-widget_type=\"image-carousel.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"swiper\" role=\"region\" aria-roledescription=\"carousel\" aria-label=\"Image Carousel\" dir=\"ltr\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"swiper-wrapper\" aria-live=\"off\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"swiper-slide\" role=\"group\" aria-roledescription=\"slide\" aria-label=\"1 of 19\"><a data-lce-lightbox=\"yes\" data-lce-lightbox-group=\"28af5d4\" data-lce-lightbox-title=\"Anhui Xiaolongbao\" href=\"https://jcwejfnxuwwffrrxjmkn.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/site-media/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Anhui-Xiaolongbao.jpg\"><figure class=\"swiper-slide-inner\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"swiper-slide-image\" src=\"https://jcwejfnxuwwffrrxjmkn.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/site-media/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Anhui-Xiaolongbao.jpg\" alt=\"Anhui Xiaolongbao -
